McLeish Estate Wines continue to dominate the national wine show scene with the unprecedented success of their premium range of wines.

Judged as the World’s Best Semillon in 2012 at the London International Wine Competition the McLeish Estate 2007 Cellar Reserve Semillon continues to assert its position as Australia’s most celebrated Semillon. Awarded with dual trophy success at the 23rd Annual NSW Small Winemakers Wine Show presentation dinner in Forbes on Saturday 20th of September as the Clear Image Trophy Best White Wine and Highlands Design Trophy foe Best Semillon.

All the wines produced under the McLeish Estate range are sourced from the Estate’s single vineyard in the Hunter Valley and using only hand harvested fruit to produce the highly awarded wines. The McLeish Estate Semillon has a pedigree of winning major awards. Receiving this year an unprecedented thirteen (13) Trophies at both national and regional wine shows.

The awarded 2007 Cellar Reserve Semillon is a full flavoured wine showing lime and honey dew flavours with great length and intensity. Cool fermentation temperatures enhanced the fruit characters of this wine and early bottling allowed the capture of these flavours. Showcasing vibrant aroma’s of lemongrass, lime and honeydew with aged complexity of honey silkiness and classic citrus flavours delivering wonderful length and delicacy that Hunter Valley Semillon is so renowned for.

McLeish Estate Wines have asserted there position as the Hunter Valley’s most awarded boutique winery, successfully producing there range of premium wines for the past 29 years, with owners Robert & Maryanne McLeish overseeing all aspects of the family business. The wines are produced using only hand harvest fruit from the Estate on DeBeyer’s Road in Australia’s most historic wine producing region of Pokolbin.

The 11 hectare winery produces six varietals- Semillon, Chardonnay, Verdelho, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. The McLeish Estate wines are produced in small quantities and are only available at cellar door, well-known restaurants and through the McLeish Estate website.
