Experience the Highlands of Scotland at McLeish Estate

McLeish Estate will come alive this September for a Scottish celebration of the Hunter Highland Lunch.

Bringing together the very best Scottish traditions and local Hunter Valley wine and produce, the ‘Hunter Highland Lunch’ will be held on September 17 at the picturesque McLeish Estate, home to the outstanding trophy – gold medal winning McLeish Estate Cellar Reserve Semillon – highly regarded in the Australian Wine Companion.

This year – with COVID safety measures in place, the Highland Lunch will be a fitting celebration of all things Scottish. The day will begin at 11am, with performances by Maitland Pipes and Drums, highland dancers and guests are welcome to participate in the traditional caber tossing competition. Attendees will then be treated to a three-course feast paired with current and museum release wine from McLeish Estate.

Vigneron Bob McLeish said the Hunter Highland Lunch would be a great day out and a chance for people to get in and experience the history and homeland of McLeish and the excitement of Scottish tradition.

‘We’d love everyone to come and enjoy the gourmet long lunch and enjoy the essence of the Scottish heritage,’ he said.

The Hunter Highland Lunch begins at 11am. Tickets are $160 per person.

Guests are advised to book early to secure tickets through the McLeish website, cellar door or via email and come and enjoy a day amongst the vineyards with the spectacular views of the estate and stunning Brokenback mountain ranges.
