Vintage Wine Dinner 2024
A Vintage of swift pace and exceptional quality.
This year will mark the 39th vintage for McLeish Estate Wines and we are marking the occasion with the annual Vintage Wine Dinner where we are excited to take guests on a journey behind the wines on Wednesday April 3rd and Wednesday April 17th as part of the feature events for the 2024 Newcastle Food Month.
McLeish Wines are collaborating with the talented team at Urban Deli and Bar, who have some of the finest European-style dining and ambience to the Hunter. The restaurant opened in 2022 with Kasia Idczak and Tim Atkinson, a couple that brings years of experience from all around Europe, giving guests access to the finest taste and flavours from local and European producers.
We have curated a seasonally inspired four course degustation, which will be perfectly matched with eight McLeish Estate wines.
Wine producer Jessica McLeish said that the exquisite back vintages and extensive European inspired menu will be the ideal combination.
“The journey from Semillon and fresh local seafood, through to 24 hour marinated lamb alongside the celebrated 2019 vintage reds will be truly spectacular” she said.
“The ultimate pairing happens when you create a balance of flavours where the wine supports and lifts the dish.
Most excitingly, the evening will culminate in the celebration of our 39th vintage. There will also be the opportunity to taste rare release wines, including the Reserve Shiraz 2019 which will be poured on the night.
