Technical Notes
Vineyard
The growing season of the 2014 vintage was a perfect year of late rains in November leading into long, dry and very warm days over the Summer months. We were lucky to experience no extremely hot days with little to no rain pressure during harvest allowing the fruit to be hand harvested across blocks 2 & 4 at optimal ripeness with no interuptions.
Production
The Semillon grapes have been whole- bunch pressed to minimize phenolics and then put to stainless-steel tank to begin fermentation. Once compeleted the wine in vat is left on lees for 3 weeks to build texture and complexity into the finished wine then bottled immediately to retain freshness and vitality of the primary fruit.
