Fondly known as ‘The Great Australian Red’ McLeish Estate 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz is a unique Australian blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon (traditional Bordeaux varietal) and 40% Shiraz (traditional Rhone varietal). The blend exhibits an intense mix of black forest berries over coffee and spice aromas . Long and persistent, this fresh, medium bodied blend showcases the epitome of elegance and fruit purity.

The 2021 vintage encompassed mild showers before vintage, dry and hot during harvest. Producing very good whites and reds
Harvesting was timed to achieve the most positive varietal distinction with the Shiraz showcasing vibrant, bright acidity and ripeness to develop our luscious blend.
Vineyard
This wine has been crafted from the estate’s oldest vines that are planted on elevated slopes with rich red clay and red loam soil. The vineyards are low yielding, and all fruit is meticulously hand sorted to produce the highest quality. The varietals are matured separately before crafting the blend to produce a wine that is fondly known as ‘the great Australian red’.
