This Off-dry Semillon's name comes from the families Scottish origins, with Robert McLeish’ family originating from a town called Kilmarnock in Scotland, affectionately known as ‘Auld Killie’.
The Off-dry Semilon is an alternative to the classic McLeish Semillon displaying a touch of sweetness, bright tropical fruits, hints of citrus and vibrant acidity.

This delicious Semillon style expresses vibrant lemon freshness with equally intense tropical fruit aromatics. The palate delivers green apple and grapefruit providing the perfect balance of vibrant juicy sweet fruits on the mid palate with a crisp off-dry finish.

Technical Notes
Vineyard
In 1985 Bob and Maryanne McLeish planted out 1.75ha of Semillon named Block 2 and Block 4. The vineyard is hand harvested then fruit is sorted and allocated based on quality.
Production
The Semillon grapes have been whole bunch pressed to minimize phenolics and then put to stainless-steel tank to begin fermentation, the juice was cool fermented to retain some natural residual sugar creating a lower alcohol level and higher natural sweetness in the finished wine.
