Aromas of zesty passionfruit, grapefruit and lemon juice, lead to a vibrant palate of tropical stone fruit flavours. With citrus notes of the Semillon providing an extremely delightful depth of flavour, leading to a clean crisp finish.
This year McLeish Estate started harvesting the Semillon on the 31st of January. After a mild start to season the optimal conditions prevailed with long warmer days towards the end of January. These ideal conditions provided excellent ripeness and primary fruit characters for our estate Semillon.
The Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from Blewitt Springs South Australia and is the only varietal that is sourced for our range outside of the Hunter Valley.
Our Semillon is hand harvested from vines grown in friable red duplex loam soil at Pokolbin in the Lower Hunter Valley.– the vines, planted in 1985 – consistently producing the purest and brightest signatures of Hunter Semillon.
The Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from Blewitt Springs South Australia, located south of the city of Adelaide along the coast, where the cooling effect from the ocean creates substantial meso-climate variation.
