2015 Auld Killie (Off- dry Semillon)


The McLeish family originated from Kilmarnock affectionately known as ‘Auld Killie’

This is an off-dry style, an alternative to the classic McLeish Semillon, this wine displays a touch of sweetness, bright tropical fruits and vibrant acidity and a hint of citrus. Making it the perfect alfresco wine.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Bright, with a light green tinged

Aromas: Vibrant lemon freshness with an equally intense tropical fruit aromatics

Palate: A flavoursome wine that provides the perfect balance of vibrant fruit to crisp acidity.


The Hunter Valley experienced some early rain which delayed the start of harvest to early February. The hand harvesting process was carried out to select only the most premium fruit, therefore lower yields where seen. This meticulous selection process lead to intensity ripeness of primary fruit flavours in the 2015 vintage McLeish Semillon.


Our Semillon is hand harvested from vines grown in friable red duplex loam soil at Pokolbin in the Lower Hunter Valley.– the vines, planted in 1985 – consistently producing the purest and brightest signatures of Hunter Semillon.
