Tasting Notes
Vibrant luminous quartz colour. Juicy lemongrass and guava aromatics. Mouth filling flavours of passionfruit and guava with a squeeze of citrus lemon balancing the zesty acid backbone. A classic Hunter Semillon from an exceptional vintage.
Vintage
The Semillon was hand harvesting in mid- January. The dry growing season provided exceptional balance in fruit ripeness. The fruit was crushed and fermented in vat to maintain the varietal purity.
Vineyard
Our Semillon is hand harvested from vines grown in friable red duplex loam soil at Pokolbin in the Lower Hunter Valley – the vines, planted in 1985 – consistently produce the purest and brightest signatures of Hunter Semillon.

Our expression of Semillon is crafted to display vibrancy and lean acidity in its youth, while cellaring into the next 10 years will reward with the 2021 Semillon developing added complexity and honey comb texture over time.
