McLeish Estate started harvesting the Semillon on the 30th of January.
The optimal conditions prevailed with long warmer days, the Vintage conditions throughout the white harvest continued to be extreme heat waves of 40 degrees plus leading to excellent ripeness and primary fruit characters.
Our Semillon is hand harvested from vines grown in friable red duplex loam soil at Pokolbin in the Lower Hunter Valley.– the vines, planted in 1985 – consistently producing the purest and brightest signatures of Hunter Semillon.

Cellaring: Our expression of Semillon is crafted to display vibrancy and lean acidity in its youth, while cellaring into the next 10 years will reward with the 2019 Semillon developing added complexity and honey comb texture over time.
