Luminous quartz colour with a lively harmonious lemon & lime zest aroma. The palate delivers a balance of lemon with delicate passion fruit and quince, these flavours are supported by equally fresh acidity. The fruit to acid balance ensure a long length and a framework for the future.
The Hunter Valley experienced some early rain which delayed the start of harvest to early February. The hand harvesting process was carried out to select only the most premium fruit, therefore lower yields where seen. This meticulous selection process lead to intensity ripeness of primary fruit flavours in the 2015 vintage McLeish Semillon.
Our Semillon is hand harvested from vines grown in friable red duplex loam soil at Pokolbin in the Lower Hunter Valley.– the vines, planted in 1985 – consistently producing the purest and brightest signatures of Hunter Semillon.

Cellaring: Our expression of Semillon is crafted to display vibrancy and lean acidity in its youth, while cellaring into the next 10 years will reward with the 2015 Semillon developing added complexity and honey comb texture over time.
